A few weeks ago, I asked my audience, "What is your biggest obstacle in making money online?"
I received over 1000 replies, each with a different answer about their individual problems. At first glance, it seemed like everyone had unique problems. But what if I told you that after reading and categorizing them, I ended up with only 7?
Today, I would like to share with you these 7 biggest obstacles in making money online and provide possible solutions so you can actually break free.
Let’s dive in.
1. Problem: Don't know how to get started.
There is no right or wrong way to get started. There is only you, the one who can take action and achieve amazing results. So, here is a quick and simple plan for you:
- Identify your strengths and areas of expertise.
- Determine how you can utilize your skills, knowledge, and passions to assist others.
- Begin immediately building a brand around your unique offering.
2. Problem: Don't know how to build an audience.
You start building your audience by giving value away for free. This may sound strange to many and sometimes even too simple, but this is the way and it's that simple.
Provide value for free and expect nothing in return. Forget all your current needs and focus on actually making a real impact on human lives.
Give, give, give, give.
This way, the audience will be grateful for your content and the return is inevitable.
3. Problem: Don't know how to monetize.
Offer creation and monetization only occur when you have an audience to sell to. So when you have your audience and you know their problems, check your social media inbox.
There is a really high chance that there are people already asking things from you. All you need to do is list these requests, prioritize them, and create something valuable for them.
4. Problem: Don't know how to market.
Marketing can sometimes feel confusing for many people. Most people think that you need actual money to market things. The good news is, you don't need money, especially when it comes to content marketing.
The logic behind it is quite simple: you create free content online. This content generates organic reach, resulting in free traffic to your website.
Here are a few options to choose from and start creating:
- Send newsletters.
- Write blog posts.
- Film YouTube videos.
- Create reels.
- Generate views, likes, and comments.
By being visible, you will attract traffic to your website and it cost you $0.
5. Problem: Don't feel confident enough.
Even the most successful people feel this. Sometimes even I feel it; it's in our human DNA.
We are created this way so that we can progress, always searching for improvements in ourselves.
Therefore, no one is 100% confident in life; they're just playing the game and simply going with the flow, while others are watching from the sidelines.
All you need to break this curse is to simply get in the game. That's where all the fun begins - be the player, not the spectator.
6. Problem: Feeling unproductive.
Productivity is a skill. You need to search for what works best for you and always adapt. If you feel unproductive all the time, don't judge yourself too much. Simply have the strength to wake up and try again.
There are a few tips that have helped me a lot, and maybe they will help you as well:
- Limit your distractions.
- Disable all notifications.
- Delete 99% of your apps.
- Try to get into deep work.
- Listen to focus music while working.
- Eat healthy and work out.
- Drink a lot of water.
- Do one task at a time.
Also, don't focus too much on how many hours you work. Productivity is not about how much or how hard you work. It's about what you get done with your time. You can achieve more results with just two hours of focused work than with ten hours of mindlessly staring at the screen. So, focus on results, not time spent.
7. Problem: Lack of skills.
Most of the skills can be learned on YouTube for $0.
All you need to do is be patient and have a learning schedule.
Pick the skill you want to learn and dedicate an entire week to learning it. You can also start daily book reading or watch educational content while eating, etc.
What's important is for you to keep your learning curve going up, always.
I believe that with the right knowledge, mindset, and strategies, anyone can overcome these obstacles and find success in making money online. So, take these obstacles as a chance to learn, adapt, and evolve. Embrace the challenges, stay committed to your goals, and never be afraid to seek help or guidance along the way, even if it's reading a newsletter from creators like me or reading a book.
That's all for now. I hope you found this tutorial helpful.
